Ron Campbell, Ph.D. is a Principal with the Leadership Research Institute. He specializes in developing organizational capacity through leadership and influence.

Ron’s approach builds from his philosophy that an executive’s ultimate degree of success is measured by the skillsets of those they lead.  It his guiding principle that the level of commitment a leader invests in an individual directly correlates to the organizations’ performance.  He believes that individuals learn to be great leaders.  Leadership that produces extraordinary results takes dedication and courage.

Professional Experience

Ron had the honor of working globally side-by-side with Dr. Paul Hersey at The Center for Leadership Studies for 30 years.  He accredits his passion for leadership to Dr. Hersey who was one of the giants in behavioral science.

Prior to serving as the President and CEO of The Center for Leadership Studies, Ron served in the US Coast Guard and was integral in the redesign of their operational and leadership training curriculum.

Ron is also an Adjunct Professor at Nova Southeastern University in their Masters of Leadership program and guest lecturer at the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business for their Executive Development program.

Education / Certifications / Awards

Ron earned his B.S. in Human Relations and Organizational Behavior from the University of San Francisco, and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii. He holds a Masters in Human Resource Management from Pepperdine University and a Masters and a Doctorate in Applied Behavioral Science from California American University.

Ron co-authored Situational Parenting® and Situational Leadership – A Behavioral Science Approach® with Dr. Paul Hersey.

On a Personal Note

Ron’s passion for leadership expands outside the business classroom.  He is an avid horseman and is active in equestrian training for use in rehabilitation of at risk children and children with physical disabilities.  Bringing together two of his interests, he has also developed an experiential leadership program on horseback.
