Joelle K. Jay, Ph.D.

Joelle is an award-winning executive coach, popular keynote speaker and nationally-recognized author on personal leadership. She has nearly 25 years of experience partnering with Fortune 500 businesses, C-suite leaders, and executives to enhance their performance and maximize business results. Joelle leverages strong expertise in executive leadership, personal leadership, and women in leadership, as well as advancing, developing and retaining talent to deliver greater value and bigger impact. Joelle’s insights and guidance bring a deep awareness of what it means to be a leader in a time of transformation for companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Accenture, and more.

Joelle is a Director and Executive Coach for the Leadership Research Institute, a global consulting firm specializing in leadership and organizational development.

Joelle has achieved impressive results by promoting the effectiveness and advancement of leaders through customized executive coaching. She has also partnered with top industry leaders, including Merrill Lynch, Intuit, SpaceX, Google, Apple, MGM Resorts, S&P Global, and Madison Square Garden, among many others.

Additionally, Joelle leads LRI’s Leadership Circles Program in companies worldwide – a program designed to attract, retain, and advance talented leaders. Leaership Circles has impacted thousands of leaders in over 20 countries. At Capital One, half of the particpants were promoted; at Adobe, retention rose over 25%. Leadership Circles also generates financial benefits for organizations. A recent analysis showed an ROI exceeding $476M in revenue and $34M in cost savings when participants’ financial gains were analyzed for just one program in one year. It has been featured in both Fortune and Forbes and has been credited with helping companies become Best Places for Women to Work.

Joelle’s third book, Breakthrough: From Personal Leadership to Personal Transformation – Leading for Good in a Changed and Changing World, is expected in Spring, 2026. She has published two previous books, The Inner Edge: The 10 Practices of Personal Leadership and The New Advantage: How Women in Leadership Can Create Win-Wins for Their Companies and Themselves. She has authored 100+ articles in CEO Magazine, Fast Company, Inc, and more, and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Fortune and Oprah magazines.

Joelle earned a Ph.D. in Education and Leadership from the University of Washington and an M.A. from Boston University. She is a Master Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation. Joelle is an avid skier and enthusiastic traveler, and she enjoys living near beautiful Lake Tahoe, where she is bravely taking up golf and being trained by Dolce, her vivacious Corgi.
